Women’s Club Championships Round 1 Results

Perfect weather conditions along with a championship course setup were on show for the opening round of the 2018 Women’s Club Championships. Low scores however were hard to come by with Terri Farrell posting the best nett (70) for the day to win the March Monthly Medal. Terri also featured in the Club Grade Championships posting a score of 85 to be one stroke behind 2017 Women’s Club Champion and recent 2018 Mixed Foursomes Champion Tiana Wanigasekera. In the B Grade Championship Marilyn Anderson holds a 3 stroke lead over Lois Barnett after posting a round of 100 gross however there are 10 players within 10 shots who will be looking to make up ground next week. Liz Heading currently leads the C Grade Championships after opening with a solid round of 109 but only hold a one stroke lead over both Sia Patel and Carol Dorahy.
