Revitalised Junior Golf Program in 2018
Published on 8th February 2018 in Club Events, Guests News, Latest NewsWe are introducing a revitalised junior golf program which includes MyGolf junior golf clinics, Advanced Junior Golf Development Program and pathway towards representation in the club’s junior pennant team.
To date, we have commenced our MyGolf Junior Clinic in Term 1 and we have 10 juniors partaking in our first clinic which is a fantastic starting result!
All the junior golf programs (including MyGolf School clinics) will be managed by Elissa Orr.
Advanced Junior Development Program
The advanced junior golf development program is the next step for juniors after their introductory clinics which will include further golf development such as on course lessons, short game skills test and entries into nominated Golf Victoria events. We envisage rolling out the advanced program from Term 2/3 onwards and will be an initial offer to Spring Valley members (cadet or juniors).
Juniors in the Advanced Junior Golf Development Program will receive: –
- Approximately 4 – 5 months of coaching (1 hour class every week)
- Includes on course coaching, short game skills test and entry into nominated Golf Victoria Junior Golf events
- Building the confidence and ability to produce a GA handicap
- Every participant receives a polo shirt with SVGC logo and cap
- Possibility of putting together a team to represent the club in Junior Pennant
Sponsorship for Junior Development Fund
We are seeking sponsorship from Spring Valley Golf Club members for a sum of $330 per annum. The sponsorship of $330 per annum will enable us to offer this program FREE to our Cadet/Junior members. The goal of this program is to build a group of juniors to ideally move up the pathway and one day represent Spring Valley in Junior Pennant and beyond.
In return for your sponsorship, you will receive:
- 12 x small free range ball vouchers
- 2 x complimentary guest passes
- Junior program sponsor cap
- Photo frame of acknowledgment with your name on our club wall
- Regular email updates on the junior program’s progress
- Invitation to attend the junior program break up BBQ
