Marty Joyce Golf Academy
Marty Joyce and Paul Skinner are based at Spring Valley Golf Club and is located next to the Heatherton Road (entrance) ‘South’ Range.
Operating from a high performance studio, it features indoor and outdoor hitting bays and is complemented with the latest technology including Trackman and Sam PuttLab. Next to it is the Heatherton Driving Range, a 300 meter full length driving range with a 1200 square meter turf tee and is available for use 7 days a week, all year round.
The practice facility also includes full access to the club’s short game hole complete with pitching/chipping areas and bunkers. A large putting green is also located in front of the clubhouse.

After ten years playing amateur golf, having represented Victoria five times and competing in high level amateur tournaments throughout Europe, the USA and Australia, Marty spent three years getting his professional qualification via a PGA traineeship. During his traineeship he was awarded Victorian Trainee of the Year and Australian Golf Digest Trainee of the Year.
From 2008 – 2018, Marty successfully advanced the VIS program and moved the VIS Golf training facility to Spring Valley Golf Club, where in co-operation with Titleist, a teaching centre was built on the driving range. This has become the base for most of Marty’s coaching work. With increasing interest an involvement in player development Marty also took on the role of High Performance Director for Victoria and became Golf Australia National Coach. He left these positions in December 2018.
Marty currently uses the most accurate coaching systems including SAM Puttlab, Trackman and Bull 3D Motion Capture, these services are available to his clients, students and several professionals he coaches on tours throughout the world.

Travis Harrison Golf Academy
Travis Harrison is based at Spring Valley Golf Club and is located next to the Heatherton Road (entrance) ‘South’ Range.
“How can I be the best part of my clients day” is the motto Travis lives by.
Travis has been coaching at Spring Valley since 2019 and continues to be a leader in the industry. Travis passion for coaching golfers of all abilities, drives his holistic approach so no stone is unturned ensuring improvement. During Travis’ 15 years as a PGA professional he was nominated for 2015/16 Victorian teaching professional of the year, then won 2016/17 Victorian PGA club professional of the year followed by winning 2018/19 Victorian PGA game development coach of the year. .
Along with running his coaching business at Spring Valley he works for Golf Australia as a High Performance coach specialising in talent identification in regional areas. Travis also lectures for the PGA trainees, mentors upcoming trainee professionals, Holden Young Lions coach, resident professional for Kieser Training and offers an expert club fitting service.
Lessons include:
- Goal setting for the session and long term
- Video analysis with voice over review and prescribed drills. You will have access to view the complete lesson from an app downloaded to any device.
- Trackman data analysis
- All areas of the game can be covered Fullswing, chipping, pitching, bunkers putting or on-course
- Open line of communication with Travis following the lesson if you have any questions.
Travis offers a “1st lesson special” for clients who have never seen him before. Pay for 1/2hr and get 1hr. This ensures the 1st lesson is never rushed and you have a clear direction of how to best improve your game.

He utilises the latest technology and all students receive access to video reviews of their lesson so information covered during the lesson can be re-visited at anytime.
Travis is passionate about running specialty coaching programs and this ensures a variety of topics are covered in fun filled group environments.

Paul Skinner
For more than 10 years Paul competed professionally on both a National and International level. He has turned his experience/knowledge into establishing himself as a renowned golf instructor throughout Australasia.
A golf coach and AAA rated Australian PGA Member specialising in player development and education within the industry. As recognition of his commitment and expertise Paul was awarded a 2014 contract with Golf Australia as a High Performance Coach (Tournament Coaching Consultant) providing hands-on approach coaching for young elite amateurs in Australia.
With an eye for detail and refreshing approach he’s left no stone unturned when it comes to delivering quality golf instruction to players of all levels. He is renowned for his swing knowledge, communication skills and dedication to his own personal development.
Paul employs an integrated approach to coaching and is on a constant pursuit of education gaining valuable coaching knowledge from some of the world’s leading instructors. Individual knowledge will be gained from exposure to all facets of the game including, technical, physical, tactical and physiological.
