Women’s Opening Day Wrap Up

Today we welcomed 70 enthusiastic members to celebrate Women’s Opening Day.  Golfers geared up for a Four-ball Stableford event, set against the backdrop of a beautiful cool summer’s day, creating a perfect blend of camaraderie and competition.

The course, in excellent condition, also provided the ideal canvas for an unforgettable day of golf.

The competition was fierce, but emerging victorious with an impressive 49 points were Suzanne Crameri and Juin Yan Li. Congratulations to our winners! Close on their heels were the deserving runners-up, Vicki Periorelis and Margaret Willcox, who secured a commendable 46 points. A list of full results can be found below.

Our NTP winners were Wendy Van Bakel and Christine McMahon. The LD winner on the 18th was Erica Ligthart. Congratulation to you all.

We were honoured to have Club President, Gordon Stewart in attendance. We are grateful for the updates and valuable information he shared about Club news and future endeavours.

Our women were treated to a delightful two-course lunch. This occasion was made even more special as we welcomed our new Chef Daniel to our team, who showcased his culinary prowess on his very first day with us. A promising start indeed!

The day wasn’t just about the present; it was an opportunity to recognise the achievements of the past. Presentation and trophies were awarded to the winners of our 2023 and January 2024 events, acknowledging their dedication and outstanding performances.

As the sun set on Women’s Opening Day, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment and excitement for the upcoming golfing season. This event was a perfect blend of competition, camaraderie, and celebration, setting the tone for what promises to be an exceptional year at our club. Here’s to a fantastic golfing season ahead!
