As a valued stakeholder and neighbour, we write to provide you with an update on our works program for the closed landfill sites at Fraser Road and Deals Road.

Deals Road

Cut and fill works are completed and we are starting to place foundation layers that will ultimately form part of the final capping of the old landfill. We are also placing lining in the south-west quadrant across an area estimated to be 14,000m2. We expect to finish the rehabilitation and capping works by May 2020.

Fraser Road

We are currently cutting in the northern section and filling in the south. We expect to cut and fill works to continue until June 2020. Lining works will take place on January 2020 and we estimate completing rehabilitation and capping by March 2021.

Cut and fill works are required to fully rehabilitate both areas. Works are completed during business hours, and in some instances due to weather constraints, works are carried out on weekends.
