“RULES INFORMATION” website tab unveiled

The Members’ Home section of the Club’s website now includes a tab for “RULES INFORMATION”.  This is a timely addition as we transition to the significantly new Rules of Golf applying from 1^st January, 2019.

Have a look at the new page to find interesting information and links regarding:

• Major changes to the rules from 1^st January, 2019
• Availability of new rule books
• Explanatory videos
• How to complete a level 1 rules test
• The Club’s local rules
• Recent examples of relevant rulings
• Do you have a rules question?

Members may like to start researching the changes, knowing that many will benefit players and could speed up play.  For example, did you know that you will be able to putt on the green while the flagstick remains unattended in the hole?  But please, don’t adopt the changes in competition play before 1^st January, 2019.

The website page will be updated as 1^st January approaches and rule books and further information become available.  If you have had any rules uncertainty lately or a tricky ruling, please let us know and we can include a description on the website page for the benefit of all members.
