The Men’s pennant team is hoping to go one better after narrowly missing out on the 2017 final, with the current form of players there’s no reason why they can’t take home the flag.
Scott Hooper – Club Champion in 2016 and runner up in 2017.
Dave Buckthorpe – Captain of the team and a great leader .
Simon Ellis – Back at the club after a spell OS. Looking to keep him good record of wins going.
Wayne Nix – Great to have him back in the team alway’s gives his best.
Lucas Murtagh – Has got the fire in the belly back and playing well.
Russell Simmons – 5 times Club Champion and won everything else. Wants a Div 4 flag this year.
Blake Sorensen – Our current A grade champion getting his game back after a couple of years in WA.

Last season, after finishing on top of the ladder following the home and away matches, unfortunately we lost an exceptionally tight final. Spring Valley finished second in Div 3 but still earned promotion to Div 2 for 2018. Over the years Spring Valley has fluctuated between Div 2 and 3. Div 2 is a significant step up in class with most teams possessing a number of scratch markers. Our goal is to win enough matches to remain in Div 2 for 2019. Sandhurst finished mid-table last year so we are confident of a very competitive showing. All players have been practising hard and the clinics conducted by Elissa Orr have served to sharpen our skills.
